No Veto Video
is a project devised to save a marriage. How is it that two people who love movies could never agree on what it is that we should watch? The best solution was to take compromise out of the arrangement, and put trust in. What happened next was unexpected: Katherine, who would never have chosen Kids Go into the Woods…Kids Get Dead, found that there were interesting themes raised; Carson was introduced to Wuxia and it opened for him the richness of Chinese history.
Carson and Katherine have been watching movies together their whole married life. On their honeymoon, they watched South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut with hundreds of New Orleanians in a raucous night that won’t soon be forgotten.
Carson
is an avid movie viewer who likes comedies, horror, science fiction, documentaries, kaiju, and mockumentaries. He has a long-standing tradition of seeing movies in the Alien franchise with his father and have been alternating who buys tickets since he saw Aliens in the theater when he was 10 years old. He and his father used to go to a local – now-defunct – video store named Finnegan’s and rent B horror movies every weekend during his formative years, and watched all of the hosted weekly horror movie shows on television as a child.
Some of his favorite movies are The Thing, Aliens, Real Genius, Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, Blade Trinity, and Ghost Busters.

Katherine
was once told by her family of origin that she wasn’t allowed to pick out family movie night movies anymore after bringing home Oscar and Lucinda from the local Blockbuster Video. Luckily relations have since thawed, but Katherine is still happy to take a risk on a challenging movie. She especially likes foreign movies, fantasy, historical fiction, and musicals. One of the first movies Katherine paid to see was T2 at a mall movie theater.
Some of her favorite movies are Princess Bride, Summer Wars, and The Wiz.
